“We found this Jack mackerel larva (Trachurus sp.) in the offshore waters of the eastern Mediterranean (Orkinos survey in June 2021). Mackerel are very common in Mediterranean coastal waters where they reproduce. This larva is carried to the open waters by sea currents.”
