Eddy JokovichFIFA said giving the #WorldCup2022 to Qatar would promote inclusion, peace and social change in an area that needs it. If everything that promotes inclusion, peace and social change has been banned, what was the point? It’s just a promotion for a dictatorship, just like 1936.
Executing a move from the #birdsite to the #fediverse sure is a great opportunity to cull who you’re following but rarely engaging with.
With plastic wrapping recycling currently suspended in 🇦🇺 we are now:
1. More carefully opening any incoming delivery wrapping to get a reusable bag out of it.
2. Washing and reusing incoming bags (esp. any with ziplocks) for shopping or food storage.
3. Compressing and storing the rest until there’s a new recycling scheme. We’re trying these vacuum bags from Bunnings which compress down to maybe 10-15% of the original volume.
