@ninawillburger if you search with &udm=14 at the end of the url (so with https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&udm=14 as the default url in your browser settings) it will automatically search without the AI results

@Siph it's in the unicode pictographs block but it's not an emoji, it's just that a lot of the symbols in that block were made into emoji. that's one of the few exceptions that are just glyphs, although there are some that are alternately just emoji while most are both emoji and glyphs

early unicode and the holdovers from its development make for wacky things like that
