Saw an influencer trying out some “squatting on your toilet” trend, being scolded for doing something dangerous and then diving down a Wikipedia hole on toilet-related deaths https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toilet-related_injuries_and_deaths

Pure grump this morning: enduring a Gemini growth hack for the transcription when someone is trying to tell an important story in a very large important meeting. Fucking awful tbh.

I could use some new sci-fi book recommendations. Can you give me some?

About me: Series are nice. I like physical books, so not into ebook only recommendations. Have read and liked: most Octavia Butler, all Iain Banks, Asimov and Thomas Covenant series (when I was a teen), Murderbot series and other stuff by Martha Wells, Three body problem etc, Andy Weir, Nnedi Okorafor, NK Jemisin, Rivers Solomon, Kameron Hurley, Ann Leckie. I have some one-off books but hopeful that gives you an idea!
