@aral I scrolled past this post this morning not realising how salient it would become for me over the next 24 hrs.
it's been a weird sort of feeling today. i can't seem to look away, i never thought i'd see this in my own home. i shouldn't be surprised but i am.
im mixed-race, (white british and black african), i've been quite sheltered and have never been discriminated against. but now i do feel genuinely a bit scared for my safety and my family's.
i keep telling myself it will fizzle out, i really hope i'm right.
