Palworld and Nintendo
Just a friendly reminder that no company is your friend, and competition is good. If you’re going to defend Nintendo and act like #Palworld shouldn’t exist, I’m just saying..
You are a bit of a bastard.
A lot of people these days seem to want <company they don’t like> to fail, and I think those people fail to understand how dangerous that is. I quite like my iPhone, but I don’t want to see the Android ecosystem die, because corporations have shown, time and time again, when they go without major competition, they will absolutely start fucking you over.
Competition is good.

Game Maker Studio really be twisting the knife on #unity making a free non-commercial tier. That gets a lot of people into a really simple engine, and they can go for a paid license at a way lower price. If you’re making 2D, that’s a great way to go.
My friends and I have taken to avoiding the us-or-them culture whenever we adopt some new technology. Did you get a new iPhone? Android? Doesn’t matter.
Xbox or PlayStation? Doesn’t matter.
PC or Mac? Doesn’t matter.
What matters is that you have a new toy, and it’s bringing you a moment of joy, and we’re not here to shit on you for choosing what you chose. There’s too much darkness in the world right now to go around blowing out other peoples’ candles.
