What is the name of the thing where White Westerners think something only became a thing AFTER they heard themselves about it? For example, many White Westerners think Kpop are "descendant" of boy/girl bands of the 90's without realizing KPOP was already around and popular then.

Remember all the times when we had to declare independence from the neighborhood stalker who claimed to own us?
