Born & raised in Louisiana and this has only just now occurred to me:
Why do we not do bread with boiled crawfish? We do bread with boiled shrimp. Crackers or bread with crabs, oysters, fish... heck, we have a whole seafood poboy industry of seafood-and-bread combinations.

But I've never had bread of any kind at a crawfish boil. Potatoes, corn, garlic... sure. But never any kind of bread.

Why??

I was wondering if it was a mistake to renew my passport 3 years early last year, until I saw that passports will now be emblazoned with you-know-who's picture.

You ever go to stay at a hotel for vacation but the hotel staff all seem surprised that you expect it to be a hotel? Like no one knows how the reservation system works or when rooms are clean and you start getting the impression that the "hotel" is a front for something shadier?
Had one of those this weekend.
