There's no easy way out of the situation, but there is a way that I have found that seems best for me. I'm too nice to ghost, so I try to muster up the courage to tell them, but in the most positive and reaffirming way I can. Let them know that you appreciate them and that they are a good person, but your circumstances do not permit a relationship with them.
