I want to spend my time working toward getting projects I care about out into the world. . .

The Library will be closed Thursday, July 4 - Sunday, July 7 for Independence Day weekend.

What do you do when you suddenly need to learn about the background of Independence Day and the Library is closed? Read an e-book! Our digital resources, including e-books are available 24/7, including "Red, White, and Blue Letter Days" by Matthew Dennis, which has a chapter on the history of Americans celebrating Independence Day. Search for the title in SouthernSearch for access with an SCSU login.

Celebrate Disability Pride Month (July) with Buley Library.
See the exhibit in the 2nd case on the 1st floor (by the Art Gallery window), featuring many of our digital resources including the 2006 documentary "Shameless: the ART of Disability" on our Films on Demand platform. Search for the title in SouthernSearch to view (with SCSU login.)

Today is the 55th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. The Library has the documentary "American Experience: Stonewall Uprising" available for anyone in the campus community to watch.

Look up the title in SouthernSearch, go to Kanopy in the Database list and search for the title, or scan the QR code in the picture to view the film (SCSU login required.)

Besides our Pride exhibit, the Library is also highlighting LGBTQ+ leisure and popular reading books from our collections. Adult and juvenile fiction are listed. Read with Pride!

Celebrate Juneteenth! Freedom Day!

The Library will be closed Wednesday, June 19th.

Happy Graduation to all our graduates today!

Best wishes on whatever you are heading towards (and we hope you have a chance to take a break, too!)
