Remember Leelah Alcorn. Provoked suicide is murder by proxy.

Whenever we finally restore our power, we must expand the Supreme Court until it reflects the will of the majority. Until it reflects the humane credo of a majority consensus of experts in science and psychology as well as that of the United States population.

“Sentimentality, the ostentatious parading of excessive and spurious emotion, is the mark of dishonesty, the inability to feel. The wet eyes of the sentimentalist betray his aversion to experience, his fear of life, his arid heart.”
— James Baldwin, “Everybody’s Protest Novel”

(Surely, I’m guilty of this.)

When males line up in comment sections below women comedians’ performance vids to say they aren’t funny, do you ever think, Why do physical-contact-deprived slabs of bitterness whose privates are choked with rejected sperm haunt the pages of ladies whose comedy they say they detest?

That’s a rhetorical question, of course. Lobbing cliché insults into a void of public threads is the closest those males will ever come to flirting, let alone foreplay.

“If I have a boy, I’ll teach him how to love.

“If I have a girl, I’ll tell her the world is hers.”

— Monologue by the survivor of a Montreal technical school shooting, as represented in the film “Polytechnique”

This month marks the 100th anniversary of Black History Month (which Carter G. Woodson established as Black History Week before Congress extended it). It’s time to honor, discover and celebrate that history!
“Before fascism becomes a movement, it must circulate in everyday life, in the nascent form of everyday paranoia and victimhood, fantasies of restitution and revenge, desire for domination, the authoritarian need to be right, the capacity to humiliate, approval seeking ingroup conformity, and converse tendencies toward malice and social sadism."
— Richard Seymour, *Disaster Nationalism*
The man upstairs is hoeing his floor with a baritone vacuum cleaner that sounds like a soirée of giant bumblebees failing to get comfortable.

You know that anything Sean Combs has done, Elon Musk and Thiel are doing now. All of it.

The difference is that Combs’ actions and contractual crimes are coming to light and he’s being held as accountable as a wealthy man can be.

Whereas every billionaire who’s revealed extreme corruption in other areas, and surely is capable of harming people in their presence directly, is getting to keep their viciousness in the dark, is getting to be “a Christian” who’s simply overzealous.

One of the only things that gives me hope is seeing that Trans people are at the forefront of nearly every new development in art and culture from the 2010s on. From the ‘40s on, that’s been true of Black artists like Bud Powell and the Modernists, and revolutionary women artists become similarly visible to the culture starting in the ‘60s. But we’re now in a time when stupefying innovation is pouring from Trans artists — often from niche culture to mainstream, but also to mainstream directly.
My earliest memories are of the assassinations — MLK, Malcolm, RFK, JFK — and entering a world of mourning if you had a heart, and the assassin’s dissection cell if you didn’t. When I saw others choose the assassin, I thought it was a glitch, an accident of timing that made their arc drop backward like an arm suddenly emptied of bone. I identified with and marched in the civil rights movement from the time I was a child. I walked to my first protest from my brother’s apartment when I was eight.
