I'm not on the socials very much these days. A couple months ago I started experimenting with publishing a “now" page … in other words, what I'm working on these days.

Here's my latest edition:

What I’m Working On Now

I’m again experimenting with having a “now” page. I posted the first installment here a couple months ago and there is enough new that feels worth sharing.

And folks, this is why I voted for him. ❤️

Ragged Feathers

@caseylisscom just read your Twenty post (https://www.caseyliss.com/2025/1/16/twenty).

What a beautiful tribute to a relationship that you both have obviously deeply invested in.

I’m three years and change into my own Very Significant Relationship (and recent marriage), but the feeling is so very similar.

When you know, you know. 💕

Twenty

Today is a milestone day for Erin and me.

@TheChrisPaduan uff, sorry to hear that. Hope it all works out well for you.

Hey @changelog, thank you for introducing me to Tigris Data and floating the idea of using Tigris as a CDN.

It works really well!

Using Tigris Data as a CDN

Hello and welcome to 2025! I’m sharing some fun news about my blog’s custom tech stack. I have a new way of hosting the static image content for my blog and I’m really happy about it.

@brianstorms when I last lived in Minnesota (20ish years ago now), there was an April Monday when it was 91 degrees.

It snowed six inches the following Sunday.

🤷‍♂️❄️☃️

This is utterly ridiculous and I love it.

@tewha @raganwald true that.

Timing: came across this while taking just such a break.

@changelog since Netlify announced the deprecation of their Large Media feature (https://answers.netlify.com/t/large-media-feature-deprecated-but-not-removed/100804) a year or so ago, I've been on the search for a replacement tech that wouldn't force me to completely rebuild my site infrastructure.

Looks like this is my answer.

Also: Big thank you to Netlify giving a long grace period for those of us who are heavily invested in Large Media.

Large Media feature deprecated but not removed

As of September 1, 2023 the Large Media feature is deprecated. Sites already using the feature will be unaffected at this time: Large Media will continue to work on these sites as usual. For all other sites, Large Media will no longer appear in the Netlify UI, and we recommend against new configurations. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We do not have an end of service date to share, but will give advanced notice should we decide to remove this service completely. Why deprec...
