Happy December folks! It's cold, crisp and dark, meaning it's time for our last meetup for the year! We've scheduled for next week, Thursday 11th December in a new venue: the Quaker Meeting house on Victoria Terrace. We'll be looking forward to the Ruby 4.0 release, and chatting about this and that.

See you there!

Ruby 4.0 - What's in the new Release? | Scottish Ruby User Group

The shining lights of the Christmas markets sparkle through the crisp nights, signifying the impending arrival of a new Ruby version. This year’s release (scheduled for Christmas day) will be Ruby 4.0! Unusually, the major version number bump doesn’t mean underlying language or interpreter changes though. And if that’s intriguing, good!

Tomorrow ScotRUG gathers for an off cadence social meetup in Glasgow. Bring yourself, bring a pal, meet some awkward organisers in a pub

So it's been a long while since there was a ScotRUG gathering in Glasgow. Some of the organisers will be over from Edinburgh this Tuesday, so let's get together for a blether. Details on the website: https://scotrug.org or on meetup: https://www.meetup.com/scotrug/events/312220308/

Do sign up if you can to help us judge numbers and space.

It's this week! Looking forward to seeing some of you there!

On November 13th, we're lucky to be joined by
@ismasan. We saw a talk he gave on event sourcing at Baltic Ruby this year, so are looking forward to this. Also his blog? A great read. Sign up for the meetup so we can count you in for food, and join us!
