Took a bit too long but finally got it working as I wanted to: An easy way to setup well working Akeneo CE using Laravel Forge.
I used this approach instead of Dockerized Kubernetes setup because I think that is over engineered way of doing easy stuff. Anyone else feeling this way?
I’ll write a guide for this at some point to my blog.
On covid afterfumes last week, I almost started to refactor one business critical integration for better performance.
Luckily I remembered these words of wisdom: Never refactor unless you really need to.
It took me maybe an hour and some to get the perf upgrade done now that the flu is not fucking up my brain. The integration itself has taken approx 60hrs.

Four payments more and it is covering up the server costs for the month.

It is completely irrelevant level of complexity to split anything if you don't have a strategy for reusable code.
Finally got a client for my first #shopware project 🤩🤩
Feeling excited and a bit scared at the same time. Making things for the first time is always a thrill like no other. It would be a noob mistake to think its going to be just smooth sailing thus the scared feeling.
Whole stack: Akeneo, Shopware 6 & Nuxt.

Three keys that most (in my experience) companies with new webshops always miss:
- marketing & selling strategy
- stock control; whats in stock and when more will come
- selling online needs effort and real WORK
”Stop being lazy” is my answer for many of them asking why the sales are not peaking.
