@malx72 If you want complete control, try Firefox with your own personalized arkenfox/user.js but be warned: things can break after a major release. It will require occasional maintenance.
@Archivist Calibre is a great one I forgot about. Use it to sync my very legally downloaded books to my kindle fire.
How do you like Obsidian? I've been using Joplin for a while but the more I use it the more flawed I find it. The backlinking feature of Obsidian seems like my cup of tea.
