I'd respect Chief Justice John Roberts stresing the importance of an independent judiciary, if I thought that's what we've got at the top.
As it stands, I'm pretty sure a lot of what SCOTUS hands down is based on reverse-engineered legal analysis, particularly Alito and Thomas.
If you don't get me, get this - I'm saying they start with their decision, then set about writing shit to back it up.
“It is never a good time to bow down to a tyrant," says CNN's Jim Acosta in a farewell message. "Do not give in to the lies. Don’t give into the fear."
President Trump on social media, calls Acosta dishonest, a major sleazebag and a major loser "who will fail no matter where he ends up."
Nice to see some @pixelfed coverage on CNET. Not only that, the article provides step-by-step instructions on how to export everything from Instagram and import it into Pixelfed. 👏

This is worth taking note of.
Non-nerds don’t care about the “fediverse”, they just want something that works. If federation makes interop easier, if local instances are better run, if they can find their real life friends, they will use federated apps. Otherwise they won’t.
The details of how the fediverse works are important, but they are not a selling point. If anything, talking about the nuts and bolts drives “normal” users away.

Pres. #Biden “Now it’s your turn to stand guard - may you all be the keeper of the flame. May you keep the faith.
Their wording, not mine:

Republican Jefferson Griffin narrowly lost his race for a seat on the state Supreme Court. Now he’s asking that 60,000 ballots be thrown out based on a theory that an election denier said amounted to “voter suppression.”
