@jeffjarvis There was an attempt last year in my little county in WNC to do likewise. We are among the top five school districts in NC and were not about to let extremists take over our BOE. We rallied both Repubs and Dems to vote only for the incumbents and worked hard to GOTV. We prevailed. We saved our district from the those who would destroy it.

@samlitzinger The abortion ban in SC was blocked by a coalition of Dem and GOP women who understand the complexities of the issue and that those who seek abortions do not fall into some narrow demographic of sexually irresponsible females.

Robert McNeesBiochemist Marie Maynard Daly, who studied correlations between heart attacks and cholesterol, and between smoking and lung disease, was born #OTD in 1921. Daly was also part of the team that established the primary nucleic acid bases.
She was the first Black woman to receive a chemistry PhD in the US.
