One of the deepest treatises into the excitement and danger of romance is Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble".
The joy at discovering a new love interest regularly outweighs our need to be safe.
For a time.
These two needs will often be at war with each other.
Since the early 1990s, as I started to look into the so-called "Five Love Languages" I had an immediate distaste for them. This feeling has grown over time.
So I decided to do a detailed analysis of them. They are an inaccurate and harmful list. in this article, I explain why:

"My son found an app for his phone that tells you the distance to the nearest person selling Girl Scout cookies. He said the nearest person is 53 miles away. His next question was "Can I borrow your car?"

My favorite out of context line from a tv show:

I feel that so many times on social media…and it is really encouraging in a backhanded way.

Today, Trump Org CFO Weisselberg is being sentenced to five months jail.
On a five month sentence, he'll serve approximately 100 days.
As a public defender in Manhattan, I represented a man who was sentenced to 3-6 years (and will serve 1500+ days) for stealing a jacket.
