What’s your favorite iOS 17 bit of Photos UI and why is it the new Photos Privacy Settings?
Lazy Sunday vibes: lounging on the couch, by a window, sipping an English Summer (gin, grapefruit, elderflower, and homemade orange-thyme syrup), and reading a book.
I miss thunderstorms but DO NOT miss all of the damage and power outages that come with them. Our old house in KC had several large trees and every storm we’d be terrified they’d fall on the house.
Picked up my new glasses this afternoon; I wanted to try something different than the usual rectangle-ish shape I've had for 20+ years (when I'm not wearing contacts).
It’s over 100°F (thats 38°C for the cool kids) here and not even 10:00. I’m going to melt running errands later when it’s closer to 111°/44°.
The very obvious Clue reference at the beginning of Glamorous episode 5 is šŸ˜.
Anyone else’s Netflix on tvOS just…stop playing audio…until you back out and resume the episode? Usually happens in the first half of the show we’re watching, but I don’t know if it happens *every* time.
Oh, Continuity Camera on tvOS requires an Apple TV 4K (Second Generation) or later. This is how I discovered our Loft Apple TV 4K is a Gen 1. Guess I'll be upgrading that because FaceTime on the TV is going to be very popular in our house.
Finally setting up Backblaze for my MacBook Pro (using the license from the old iMac I got rid of in March). Somehow it thinks I have 134 TB of files on my 25% full 4 TB SSD, which is…not at all correct. Hopefully just a first run quirk.
I think I'm going to try the watchOS beta this year. I haven't in the past because of battery life concerns (and habit from years ago when Fitness/Health data wasn't fully part of iCloud), but I had some pretty terrible battery life for a few release versions of watchOS 9 so it probably can't be much worse than that. Plus the new UI looks great!
