getting started on the Fediverse is actually kinda hard. i mean, how do you find people/groups/topics/discussions from scratch?

What is with carriers lately? I have a package that originated in Orlando, FL. Instead of traveling about 430 miles to my address, it went to Phoenix first. So it will travel 10x the distance and be days late. This seems to happen with 30-50% of my packages.
