Chatgpt writes python code about as well as a college new grad, which is interesting. just regurgitating tutorials and doc examples strung together but hey so do I sometimes. it took care of boilerplating some validation endpoints and tests for a work-ish thing I've been putting off.

You really gotta baby the shit out of it and it just plain made up some nonexistent library interfaces at one point, got imports wrong, etc but if it could execute tests and read the exceptions itself you could get pretty far with it? it was able to handle corrections and suggestions well enough, or refractors of code it's generated. certainly better than some of the boys I've worked with!

the chat interface feels way better than working with gpt3 but maybe because I'm used to baby stepping baby engineers.

SF MoMA has Ragnar Kjartansson's The Visitors on display, I got to see The Visitors again in a different configuration than I saw it last time. what a cool piece.

Nine projections of a group setting up and playing a somber song commemorating/commiserating the artist's divorce, each camera showing a different performance with it's own audio hookup. you can't experience the whole thing at once, and in the configuration I saw it last time you couldn't even hear everything at once. it's a really beautiful piece speaking about the greatness of friendship, of companionship, and healing.

the gallery statement on it recast it in to a "celebratory" statement of comradery in light of COVID but like man it's so mournful. it's suffocating and soaking and so good

should I keep running NixOS unstable or swap to 22.11?

finally got around to writing some #emacs necessary code which uses #nix mode and dash.el. invoking this while your cursor is within a derivation path will give you a list of outputs in that derivation and open the one you select

```
(defun cce-find-nix-output-at-point ()
(interactive)
(->>
(nix-store-path-at-point)
(make-instance 'nix-store-path :path )
(nix-store-fill-data )
(nix-store-path-outputs )
(completing-read "Select an output" )
(find-file)))
```

love too be woken up by 60 RPS to my sites by one bot repeatedly scraping the same page and all the static resources and then spidering a few pages off it.

but i think it's for a jobs search engine?? the bot's user-agent description page is empty. or rather, it sets a session cookie and returns a 404 without body.

I guess I'll instruct my nginx to do the same for you :) and your IP addresses

maybe i'll run ab on that 404'ing bot URL until someone would be woken up by it....

might get "kind of into stirring" as a bit
someone on the vanmoof reddit already trying to buy it, nice.

This bike is really decent but I really don't need it in Eugene, the hills of Seattle and SF would love it, and it'd love to be near a service shop again.
