@jacqueline any chance y'all have plans to put https://cooltech.zone/ behind a CDN? images in your docs take over a minute to load D:
cooltech.zone

cool tech zone is a tiny electronics collective. we make Tangara, an open hardware+software music player (coming soon)! maybe more later. not yet though.

@jacqueline don't suppose some kind of MEGABASS EQ option is on the roadmap? 👉👈🥺
@_web_ Thank you for your kind words and taking the time!
I wrote an article about the lessons learned from running OnlineOrNot for the past four years: https://maxrozen.com/on-four-years-running-saas-competitive-market
Four years of running a SaaS in a competitive market - Max Rozen

Looking back on the last four years, what worked, what didn't.

Took a little side-quest to improve pagination on OnlineOrNot's oldest screen (almost 4 years old)

It used cursor-based pagination, polling was super buggy with apollo-client. Now uses plain old numbered page pagination, feels snappier too.

Will implement it across the app.

@michael I went through this recently.

You can't teach it taste or good user experience, leaving you as a sort of conductor to get it there. It's thrilling how much more productive I got when I realised that.

@jacqueline @catsalad @shlee inb4 someone makes a rear cover mod with thicc butt cheeks

@jacqueline a startup i contracted for was like "oh shit we're so fucked" because the current rpi at the time didn't have enough bandwidth to process all the sensor data coming in

they ended up contracting a Real Engineering firm and they threw one of the cheapest STM32s into it without breaking a sweat (and like 1/10th the power consumption?)

jacqueline career fact: i parted ways with my previous employer after only one year, due to an incident in which i publicly humiliated the cto by stealing an nft he owned. the cto would go on to leave the company soon afterwards.
oh shit here comes jira with the folding chair
