Systemd has simplified my life on a few occasions, and it seems to be reliable from what I can tell. At the end of the day if I can get the OS to do what I want in a relatively simple matter, that’s all I care about.
Besides plenty of other reasons people mentioned, Gen Z in particular is pretty antisocial. I’ve seen them hang out at bars, they might get one drink and just stare at their phone. Just anecdotal, but from what I’ve gathered it definitely feels like those type of folk either don’t know how to have fun or are averse to it. I don’t mean that in a completely negative way, either. I think covid really made a lot of people in general more socially inept. Again, I don’t mean that to denegrate and I’ve definitely felt that a bit myself.
People saying users are the bane of IT professionals are just antisocial whiners. The real bane of an IT professional is fucking printers. Fuck printers.
I can anecdotally attest to this. I’ve been using the same Samsung phone since basically 2020 with original battery and the runtime is still damn good for what I need.
This may not be the answer you are looking for, but one method would be to use WSL on windows to run a Linux distro with Docker installed and just migrate everything over, basically 1-to-1. Then set WSL to auto start when you boot up windows. If you install Docker Desktop on Windows, it will also pick up that you’re using Docket via WSL and allow you to manage shit from the client. I don’t do that though, I’m a masochist old-school.
Did she say, “and the dash don’t be silent”?
They’re under a class-action lawsuit currently for using biometric data in a US state where it’s illegal. Just kinda interesting.

Makes me feel a bit better, the game hits my 1080Ti pretty hard also. I also don’t play many modern or really any modern Unreal games so I didn’t know what to expect.
