Some context to Phil Schiller (@pschiller) joining the Fediverse, and why this is so important:

1. Phil has been an executive at Apple since 1997, notably as a VP of Marketing
2. He's been incredibly visible at many Keynotes, namely the launch of the iPhone and iPad
3. He's credited with coming up with the iPod's clickwheel interface
4. He boosted this post from @ivory—which could be interpreted as an endorsement
