I wrote a blog post of how I managed to "render 2.5million tiles in DragonRuby.

Its less about DragonRuby, and more about "general ruby performance" and ways you can reduce allocations, iterations, and handle "hot paths" in Ruby.

Here’s Tim in open source for July 2024, in which I recap a great many Hanami things, and share how it both can and cannot continue.

Hey everybody, I'm Kasper, I used to be on the Rails core team, but these days I'm helping small/medium Rails shops with their apps.

I'd love to join your team & help you out. Right now I'm looking for 2 clients at ~10h/week, ~3-6 months?

Let's chat. https://savvycal.com/kaspth/3b22358e?from=2024-04-29

I'm open to other arrangements for the right fit. Please feel free to just book a call, really.

I'm great at the high-level picture and all the details in between. I'm confident I can level up your team 🧑‍🍳

Catch me at @railsconf & @blueridgeruby too, or DM me 👋

Is Docker poorly documented and conceptually flimsy? Yes. Is Bash super crufty with patterns that never became popular? Also Yes.

But at the end of the day, these aren't particularly deep tools - you just need either the wherewithal to wade through docs and experiment, or you need a guide.

I did the former so you can use my book as the later.
