I hack hardware, play with radios, and am not sponsored by Raid: Shadow Legends.

Over here I tend to mumble about film, programming, writing and video games. Following me guarantees random sporadic interests, random rants, and boosts of funny shitposts.

Currently: studying electrical eng. in USA.

@roguefoam Note: I would transition my current account and followers over but unfortunately GoToSocial doesn't have this capability yet and I don't want to migrate while the new site is still in Alpha stage. Once these two things are cleared, all my existing Mastodon accounts will be migrated there.

Real quick just want to share: for the time being most of my main posts will come from my new account over at @roguefoam - really appreciating the work Amin is putting in over there and can't wait to see it grow.

As I transition some replies to old conversations and old things I follow may still come from here, but if you want to keep up with me follow over there :)

@amin Oop
@amin I just saw it 😂 Filled out!
@amolith It is nice and certainly feature-rich, but it was a hard mental transition from Markdown and not as many of the tools I use have built-in support for it. Just didn't seem practical to continue using.
@amolith I've tried LaTeX and AsciiDoc and the only of those two I keep coming back to is LaTeX (and only because a prof. offers extra credit for submitting papers in it 😂). I guess Liquid also counts for me because it replaces MD in my static site generators, and I've moved away from that too.
@12pt9 At my uni, it is legitimately a flu going around and not COVID shockingly. No idea what the original source is but everyone in my house has caught it over the past like 2 weeks.
@selectric Even better: people should stop using Discord as a primary source of information and keep it to chat or support. Too many communities rely on Discord messages as their information hub when it should really be a searchable website or even in some cases an entire wiki.
@selectric If I'm not active in the server, @everyone gets an instant mute along with the server the first time something like this happens. I'm in a ham radio server that loves to ping either that or @here every time the admins have a question and it is bonkers.
@PlaystationPixy I've never really been a fan of the Wordpress JetPack plugin setup as a whole, surely there's gotta be some other solution out there but I just haven't found it yet :( Luckily I don't use WordPress for my own blogs, but I do some WordPress development for clients so if you find any alternatives let me know!
