@sirsean - Turns out Authenticator was backed up to OneDrive, so I was able to get myself back up and running. Thank you for the suggestion of Authy, though. I'm definitely going to look into it.

Wondering if anyone has a suggestion. My phone screen was destroyed today, to the point where I was told it's not repairable, buy a new phone. So I setup an old temporary phone, but when I try to log into FB I need to use the 2FA in Microsoft Authenticator. On my dead phone, which has the Facebook key on it.

Have I completely screwed myself by using 2FA? Or is there something else I can do? #Authenticator #Android #2FA

Love how easy it is to immediately block the clown who dropped 25 identical posts on how to schedule a Mastodon post.
@gfoster We used to have bagged milk in BC in the early 80s. Always thought it was a unique idea. No idea why they stopped doing it here though.
@kevingamin I'm surprised I still haven't heard it. Never lasted this long. I've heard the same cover a bunch of times in the last couple of weeks, but not the original.
@prawn - appreciate the suggestion, though.
@prawn - I do subscribe by the RSS feed. The thing is, if I go to podcasts.google.com and unsubscribe from there, it does the same thing. Just auto subscribes. So it's not the client. I'm thinking it's most likely that an RSS feed got misconfigured on their end.

Anyone else having issues with TWiT podcasts? Launched Google Podcasts pull Sunday's TWiT for my commute this morning and found that I'm subscribed to the All TWiT Podcasts feed now. The confusing thing is if I unsubscribe from it, it immediately subscribes me again.

Not the end of the world, but I would prefer to not have to see podcasts listed that I'm not interested in.

Terrific column by LA Times' @hiltzikm looks with appropriate distaste at Big Publishing's campaign to ban book ownership (what it all boils down to), especially by libraries, in the e-book era. https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2022-12-08/which-last-longer-ebooks-or-physical-books-the-answer-may-surprise-you
Hiltzik: The technology of ebooks sows confusion and lawsuits

Publishers and authors rightly fear that they'll lose out financially from the digitization of books; but it's also quite possible that, properly managed, the technological revolution will make them more money.

@timbray The defense looked like they were struggling to survive. A Croatian goal seemed kind of inevitable.
