Surely that headline should be "Russian rocket successfully hits target"? I think Russia Today's editor just won a holiday to a Crimean beach.

How do you explain English's "the definite article" to a foreigner?

You say: "'The' is 'the definite article'."

Foreigner: "But I don't know what 'the' is. Define without using the word 'the'."
