History of Economics, and very occasionally information systems. Still looking through post-Keynesian tinted glasses: we have been seduced by the maths, not convinced by the poets.

Currently working on Alvin Hansen, Sidney Alexander, and Theodor(e) Gregory.

@MonaApp Now fixed … thanks
@MonaApp seems to be a bug in the latest update that fails to display the main post text?
This is a great approach… simple but effective ideas. I have written a book in iA Writer already, but this enhances the process still further. I look forward to the continuing iterations, it’s my go to app. https://mastodon.online/@ia/113096993190409248

While working on a large text body, finding a clear structure is the hardest part. You don’t name, rename, order and reorder your chapters because your app or your perfectionism requires it. You do it because you need to clear your mind and find the right structure for what you want to say. Organizing your files is work, but it’s essential work that your book or thesis will grow from. With iA Writer 7.2, structuring large writing projects has become a lot easier. https://ia.net/topics/faster-filing-with-tree-view-a-step-forward-for-large-writing-projects

@MonaApp have you considered integrating BlueSky”s AT protocol, would add cross posting tools which could be attractive to many who now run multiple profiles?
I recall his lectures in the mid to late 70s, fascinating read… https://sciences.social/@RePEc_NEP_HPE/112988539747731007

Sidney Alexander and wartime economic intelligence

I had been working on a chapter about Sidney Alexander, an economist at MIT-Sloan, perhaps best known for his earlier work on the Balance of Payments. But there was a question about the timeline of his employment history that uncovered an even more interesting past.

The exquisitely designed @ia notebook arrived today. Stunning. The watermark ruled lines are a fantastic innovation. The binding allows the book to lie flat. Not sure how a marker ribbon might be included in the binding, but that could be a thought for the future?

So good I just ordered another, even though it will be a wait for the next batch.

Congratulations to the team and the craftspeople involved.
