@chuckwendig @andrhia once turned off a BMW mini-SUV while waiting for a train to go by at a railroad crossing and when it was gone i couldn't figure out how to put the car back in drive and the semi behind me was stuck in the highway. that was also not ideal
@andrhia it's like how the first 100 miles of any rental car is trying to figure out where the hell all the buttons are

@kevinhearne yeah I'm going off of sarah jeong's piece on the platform. my issue is that I use twitter mainly as a newsfeed - you got your science person, econ person, legal person, etc - and I'm not sure masto is leaning that way?
@kevinhearne am I correct in understanding that you're supposed to hide any upsetting news stories (like, actual news, and anything that could be upsetting) behind CW tags?
