South Coast kid in the People's Republic. Education nerd by day, TransitMatters volunteer and crayonista by night. Bikes, languages, and travel (whenever that's possible again). Lover of "second-tier" cities that punch above their weight: Boston, Nanjing, Bangalore.

"But where would all the housing go?! There's no land left!"

Friendly reminder that there are over 2,500 acres of golf course within a 10 mile radius of the State House.

I'd like to think that "golfers needing to drive a few more miles" would be a lower priority problem than "working families being priced out by a regional housing supply crisis" but apparently not.

In the spirit of better.boston, a photo I took last fall of the Hancock-Adams Common in Quincy Center, which used to be a congested and chaotic road but now looks like it's belonged there forever.

We're lucky in New England: our cities WANT to be walkable, we just need to let them again!
