I got a book today by Rudy Francisco called “Excuse Me As I Kiss The Sky”. He talks about a young man that told him he didn’t think he was sad enough to write poetry. And he’s got a nice answer for that. But then I thought “Well, when you’re writing poetry, you’re not writing the blues”. And now I’m trying to think of any blues songs that are happy.
