Today's Matt Levine newsletter, recapping WSJ reporting that SVB's collapse was due in part to Fed systems – which are necessary for large transfers like the $20B SVB would have needed – becoming inaccessible (by design!) at 4pm, and not being reachable until the following morning. 🤯😱

Watching this video brought it back. He talked about the Zipline delivery centers, and the fences surrounding the launch / landing zones. And how most days, there were kids who'd hang out by the fence to watch the drones take off and land.

“What will the future they create look like, when things like life-saving blood from the sky were just a normal part of their childhood?”

I think about that a lot. And it makes me hopeful.
