@fuzzy I know what you mean. And a lot of those things are definitely left up to the DM's discretion. I mean, warlocks/bards use their charisma as their spellcasting modifier. Which doesn't really make sense to me since charisma is how charming someone can be vs the ability to zap someone with lightning.

(1)For some background, in 5e DND, wizards are: magic users who got their magic by studying. Because of this, the book states that most wizards have studied at the expense of their social skills. The rule book also has a whole section dedicated to the fact that wizards are "eccentric". Not the best words to use but hear me out: the book clearly points that any trait like this is not always a drawback and can/will come in handy
