i like that mastodon allows up to 500 characters. but i don't like the tiny file limit size for images. twitter beats it there.

the one thing i prefer about this site over twitter so far is that it allows 500 characters. i always felt 140 was too little. 512 would be perfect, but 500 is almost 512, so it's pretty near to perfect. this status could not be posted on twitter.
