Hey fediverse! Is anyone of you interested in #scheme or #lisp (or even #programming in general)?

I’m starting to work on the manual of CHICKEN Scheme’s upcoming major release.

Do you have anything you would love to see in a manual or tutorial introduction? Any input in welcome!

In `git merge foo` the current branch is the target (and foo is the source). In `git rebase foo` the current branch is the source (and foo the target). I find this a bit confusing and difficult to remember. (Or, is there a better way to think about this?) #git

every time I search for software and find out that it's hosted at #sourceforge, i just keep searching for an alternative. ah, sourceforge, the geocities of software hosting/distribution!

Python is (nearly) ubiquitous, easy to learn, ... but sooo boring and not fun to code/build in. Saying this as I read a book chock-full of python code examples. OT-one-H, I grok stuff straightaway; OTOH I'm not motivated to code in it *at all*.
