It’s about time I wrote up some of my research on developing for #WordPress #gutenberg
Here’s how you make a custom panel in the block sidebar:

richardtape.comApplied a new, typography-focused theme for

Yup. This is what it’s all about.
Really proud of #UBC today. Two potentially world-changing advancements;
1) Converting A+ and A- blood type to O- (universal) significantly quicker and more effectively this more usable blood: https://vancouversun.com/health/local-health/ubc-researchers-have-found-a-way-to-make-all-donated-blood-universal
2) Cooling down antimatter to a point where it's significantly easier to study: https://science.ubc.ca/news/canadian-laser-breakthrough-has-physicists-close-cooling-down-antimatter

Vancouver SunI’ve not been on Twitter in about a week and it feels... great. That’s it, that’s the whole toot.
After doing some more research it seems that mastodon.social is not the instance for me. It’s quite possible mastodon itself isn’t. I’ve taken myself away from twitter for several reasons and they don’t seem to be solved here. Rethink required.
Ah! Found the Mastodon Bridge (
https://bridge.joinmastodon.org/friends ) so now I've imported friends from you-know-where and things are looking better already!
Find your Twitter friends on Mastodon
This bridge tool matches you with your friends in the decentralized Mastodon network
I'm concerned (but perhaps this is a feature) about the fragmentation of communities on Mastodon. I'm not sure just having a firehose and following a discrete set of folks on one instance is the right mix. Somewhere in between seems like a sweet-spot for me, right now.
Anybody tried
https://whalebird.org/en/desktop/contents for a desktop app for Mastodon?
Ok then. Let’s give Mastodon another go. After some struggles getting an iOS app to work, (very reminiscent of platform-that-should-not-be-named waybackwhen) I’m up and running with Amaroq. Hi everyone 👋🏻
