The company is a bit suspicious, having only 4 employees on LI, including a welder and a doctor, but I think the insane number of applicants is still pretty telling of how bad things have gotten.
This one is by far the worst I’ve seen, but all remote job postings get hundreds and often thousands of applications within a few days.

I discovered Resident Alien recently and I'm loving it
I started Resident Alien about a month and a half ago and I’m really enjoying it. I watch it during cardio days at the gym so I’m only getting through about 1.5 episodes per week, but I find myself wanting to cheat and watch it more often. It took me a few episodes to get into it, but I’m halfway into season 2 and finding it’s right at the sweet spot of scifi and quirky comedy. It reminds me a bit of Northern Exposure with the character relationships and general tone, though its a very different show plot-wise. Of course Alan Tudyk is fantastic as always but the rest of the cast is great too, and I’m really enjoying seeing each character’s story develop. It was a nice surprise to see Linda Hamilton in the cast, amazing as always, playing a military general on the hunt for aliens. I’m trying to avoid any kind of spoilers. But for those who don’t know it’s about an alien who crash landed on earth during mission and finds himself disguised as a doctor in a small Colorado town while he attempts to figure out a way home. It’s funny, but Harry’s (Tudyk) reflections on humanity as he tries to assimilate are often insightful and touching. If you’re looking for a sci-fi show that’s not too heavy and more character than effects driven, it’s worth checking out.
First thoughts on Borderlands 4?
I’ll probably get it eventually, but I’m curious about how folks are finding it on day 1. Got to say I’m pretty disappointed to see lots of negative reviews on steam talking about performance issues and optimization problems, while Gearbox evidently still had the time and resources to put together more than $100 in day 1 DLC.

Tornando damage on Brentwood Blvd. It was insane.
Was out at a vet appointment when the tornando came through clayton and st louis. Had to backtrack 4 or 5 times to find a street not blocked with downed trees. Started on Skinker and had to drive all the way to Brentwood blvd to get south of 64. Took us 2 hours to get from skinker & Lindell to tower grove
Any recommendations for mobile vets who operate in StL city?
I live in the Tower Grove area and need to find a mobile vet. My dog gets incredibly stressed every time we take him to our normal (but fantastic) vet so we want to try getting him checked at home. Every place I’ve called tells me they only operate in st Charles or st Peter’s (despite saying all over their website that they serve st louis) or say they don’t have mobile vet services at all. Since I can’t trust these places’ own sites I’m kind of at a loss for where to look. Are there any places you use/know of that you recommend?
What Did Jack Do? (Netflix)
Just stumbled upon this 17-min film by David Lynch on Netflix and I think it’s the closest I’ll ever be to tripping on acid. I feel like there’s some kind of punchline or meaning that I’m missing, but maybe it’s just absurdits for its own sake. Thoughts on this film?
