But, I'm not here to simply push my Twitch. I've found Mastodon to be a wonderful place for finding genuine connections. It feels quite a bit like what the golden age of the internet felt like.

I would be really happy if the VTuber and Twitch communities could make real progress in moving off Twitter next year.
I may be in a bit of an echo chamber but most of what I see mentioned about Twitter is how the only engagement people get over there is from bots. So, please. Can we do this? It's better on other platforms.
Streaming has been a non-stop roller coaster between āthe community is really responding well to thisā and āIām shouting into a voidā. Except recently that has been exacerbated by being in a constant state of being exhausted.
Iāve got some time away coming up but thatās mostly because weāre traveling to see family. Iād take more time away except the work that goes into the behind the scenes is really fulfilling.
Thereās no point here beyond just externalizing thoughts.
All these "Year in Review" graphics that services produce for us is a great reminder of just how much data they are collecting about your behavior.
And yes, I am fully aware that I shared some of these earlier. As with all things it's a choice whether you are comfortable with this behavioral tracking or not. It's not a binary good/bad.
Through a couple recent discussions I found out just how popular Hogwarts Legacy still is within the cozy game community - and that a lot of folks arenāt really aware how actively transphobic JK Rowling has become?
So have a round up thread on the situation with both JK Rowling and the game! (And some supporting info because even I didnāt realize how much transphobia and fascism are tied together.)
Every account on Mastodon and the Fediverse has a unique account address, it will look something like this:
@ (username) @ (server)
You can find anyone's address by looking at their profile page, the address is written underneath their display name in a smaller font.
Account addresses are handy if you want to tell people about your account, people can paste your account address into the search box on their server which will make your profile appear.
