I solve problems. Not problems like 'what is beauty?' Because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philosophy. I solve practical problems.

Hardware I didn't know existed -- Ancot SCSI portable analyzer, 1992. "Open the case, provide power and it's ready to use!"

Did not know things like this existed, but it look really cool: SCSI-1 and 2, narrow and wide SCSI, SE and differential.

Neat!

@kalleboo when I first saw this I thought you had rigged some sort of Rube Goldberg device where it was pouring because you were pulling on a rope
@bonzoesc gotta go fast
Woot has another Keychron sale going. Q1 in white is always a good choice. For something a bit different the Q10 is really nice as well, fun layout that's pretty easy to get used to and at > 5 lbs can double as home office defense.

Hrmmm... Need to update my Sublime Merge license but I'm not sure if I want to get the bundle with Sublime Text

I've been trying out Fleet, from Jetbrains and it's kinda neat

Anyone got any new text editors for macOS (not IDEs) they like?

There are features of IDEs that I so take for granted, I wonder if it's fair to assume the same exists for text editors?

e.g. Can vim highlight that you're using a class that you haven't imported, in Python?

I'm reading the architectural patterns book that inspired the Gang of Four's Patterns book, and it has some fascinating ideas on how things should be organized.

A unified world government with representatives for each region of 10-15 million people. People shouldn't live more than 10 minutes from farm land, so each city is "fingers” of 1-mile wide small farms and 1-mile wide urban sections, intermeshed.

I was expecting more like “how to best implement a Foyer”.

I just stumbled across this hack for adding comments in JSON and there is no greater testament to human ingenuity and endurance in the face of adversity.
