What made you choose crdroid over stock lineageOS? When the google photos became a paid service crdroid was giving an option to do unlimited upload of photos by spoofing the device as pixel. It started like that and it gives more customization compared to lineageOS, so I stuck to it. I used both lineage and crdroid, there is no notable performance difference.
BTW, I’m not longer using Google photos for backup, I setup a homesever and use immich as my backup solution.
Ideally audio files stored under /sdcard/Ringtones and /sdcard/Notifications would appear on the respective place in Android devices. I don’t know how it is done in your device.
I’m using hyperOS on my poco f6, where I can’t see the above screens anywhere. Try settings> Sound and touch and pick your ringtone and notification tone from there instead of themes app.
I hope your gf device code name is sweet. There are latest versions available as you can find here. xmfirmwareupdater.com/miui/sweet/
If you want the latest version of Android with recent security patch, try lineage os or crdroid. But you have to unlock the bootloader and spend little time tinkering on it. You can find a lot of YouTube videos with step by step instructions. I have a device that runs on crdroid with Android 14.
May be or may be not.
But it’s the reality, people work at India get 8 to 10% rise every year as an average. How about people in the USA?
I would say it is fine. It would increase the wages in India and at some point the pay would equal to the person who lives in the USA.
Location based pay shouldn’t be there, as I have seen the differences in real life.
A bunch of people works on a ship, all part of same team does same job. But their pay is based on their home location.
People who came from Nordic region earn more and people from east Asia earns way less, though the job is exactly same.
I agree the software is bad. All my phones bought after nexes 4 was made by Xiaomi. They give option to unlock bootloader and flash custom rom.
Not all the phones get official lineage os support, but almost all snapdragon versions get custom rom support.
I gave my Redmi Note 4 to my mom, which is 6 years old and running latest OS with recent security patches. None of the other OEMs were supported upto this period (just give exception to Samsung Galaxy 2).
