Yes, they probably do have a very different brain than you. Because it is VERY obviously not literal.
It just means that when “distracted”, perception of time changes. For example, doing something you hate tends to feel like it takes more time than something you enjoy.
Of course it’s some Republican asshat who is convinced that if they make it so only “landowners” can vote, they will automatically win every election.
And as always it will mostly affect Republican voters who are convinced it wont affect them. I can already see them crying in the news.
Indeed, although this type of thing was more common with older wifi generations, so I’m not surprised kids these days wont know.
We cut the top off an old beer can once, poked a hole and stuck it onto the antenna to get across a courtyard and have a stable download.
Nowadays that’s only true for movies.
Depending on where in the world it’s still mostly true for shows and music as well. Although they’ve been losing their near-monopoly on those things, just look at how popular Korean entertainment is now compared to even a decade ago.
there are plenty of sleepwalker who believe the TV narrative about basically everything
I have a family member like that. They’re not religious of any kind, works with fine electronics, etc. and is by no means stupid. Earlier this year they started ranting about children supporting terrorism and no one understood what was going on. Until they revealed that some kids had written “Stop killing children” with chalk on the sidewalk. And because of TV news with anchors and all that. Not even some far right or conservative channel, just traditional and usually pretty neutral news. But they leave out 90% of what is going on and basically just summarize it as “some terrorists were killed, moving on”.
In short: They’re not “disposable”.
It’s like “flushable wet wipes”, the manufacturers are basically lying. In that you can dispose of them just like you can technically flush the wipes. But it is bad to do so.
