"I was a prosecutor in Brooklyn for 8 years...nobody ever dared to send me any threats," says fmr Brooklyn DA Liz Holtzman about "the horror" of the threats Trump has been posting. "Trump needs to be held accountable for this." #velshi

Fmr. Rep. Holtzman: Trump “can’t stop the rule of law”

For the past week, Donald Trump has been posting intimidating screeds on his social media platform Truth Social about the prosecutors investigating him and his conduct, which former congresswoman and former Brooklyn District Attorney Elizabeth Holtzman thinks is outrageous. “I was a prosecutor in Brooklyn for eight years,” Holtzman tells Ali Velshi. “Nobody ever dared to send me any threats.” And it’s not just Trump who she thinks is crossing the line. Since Trump’s initial post attacking the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, Republican congress members have been trying to launch investigations of the investigators. The power to preserve law and order is being “attacked here by Republicans in Congress for no reason other than to protect a former president of the United States who may well have committed crimes,” Holtzman says.

They look a little like a pair of tennis shoes I had in 1980 called Bata, which were made in South America. They were the best tennis shoes I ever had.

In Right-Wing world the expression "white privilege" has nearly the impact as the word "woke", especially for working class White folks who don't feel especially privileged. Of course, on a spectrum they may be favored, but might there be a better word than "privileged"?

Happy Valentine's Day!
The Trump campaign hired researchers to investigate his claims of voter fraud. They found none. They found his claims to be false. The campaign covered up the findings, proving Trump knew he'd been spreading a big lie. Keep a pin in that.

Buzz looking forward to Tuesday's show. May I suggest a podcast, Bloomberg's "Odd Lots". One program in particular last week's show with its guest Viktor Shvets. This is Big picture stuff with emphasis of course on economics, but also socio political. Dense, yet almost comprehensible to this guy, who tries hard to think.

To think we are the universe become conscious and looking at itself. This moment of consciousness must have been repeated many times through the eons.
