had to unfollow a Marxist-Leninist IG account today. i put up with a lot since they were posting about Gaza but when the anarchist-bashing gets to "Lenin and Stalin were right to round up anarchists into camps. the nazis would have won otherwise" it's just not worth it anymore. guess it's kinda nice of them to let me know ahead of time that they'll stab me in the back if i try to build bridges

it will be interesting, to say the least, to see how trump's hawkish administration contends with a world that is steadily growing more opposed to the perpetual wars waged by the west. trump, obviously, will try do outdo biden on supporting israel, but that wretched little settler state is imploding while the world turns against it and the US as well. the US military is decidedly not as capable of totally dominating as it's advertised, so more wars of conquest aren't going to go very well
things are about to get even darker in this country and the world under trump 2.0. i just hope i can get over my hangups and commit to organizing soon, or i'll be stuck following the status quo with a family i am increasingly alienated from but am also too scared to leave behind. ugh
as the dems are now deciding to throw trans people under the bus and their liberal loyalists go mask-off online, i don't know what argument is left for marginalized people to vote for them. it occurs to me that this is almost certainly the experience of a lot of working people who have seen their lives get worse under dem or rep administrations and decide that politics wasn't worth it. maybe those people will entertain organizing efforts with the right push, but we'll just have to see
