we made pita and falafel with dips/sauces and veggies for dinner, and baklava made with hot honey for desert. Nyx got a few pieces of arugula as a treat too (she's obsessed with it).

partner and I made french onion soup tonight. I'm not eating meat from mammals anymore, so instead of beef broth we used chicken stock, but enhanced the flavor with worcestershire and soy sauces and by soaking a mushroom in it. We cooked it with red wine and vermouth, and once the soup was done it was hard to believe it was made with chicken broth. It was a very lovely soup for a cold night!

I had my default emoji skin tone set to light for a while. Recently, I noticed that I was unable to manually select the default yellow from the skin tone selector. I tried setting my default emoji skin tone to the default, thinking that would allow me to access both the default and light tones. But now, whenever I try accessing the emoji page in either the keyboard or it's settings, the app immediately crashes.

i'd usually sleep for at least a couple more hours, but I'm awake, and feeling reasonably well rested! How has this happened? Seems fake, but I suppose I should stop looking this gift horse in the mouth and just enjoy having a morning.

I set up garden beds today! I'm starting a couple small no-dig gardens in the yard this spring. I'd hoped to also add compost from [city]'s environmental center, but they're closed for a christian holiday. Nonetheless, I'm very happy with the progress I made today. /pos
