Hey #sewing folks. Want to help me figure out what to do with some pretty fabric? I need a break from doom scrolling and maybe you do too...
The fabric was from a pre-pleated sari mock up. (Aka a sari attached to a skirt).
Since it was a mock up, not sure what type of fabric it is. It is woven, light, drapey and silky. Probably a faux silk.
I want to make the fabric into a dress, so it gets some use. My problem is I'm not sure what type of pattern to use.

Auggie playing with his/our ball launcher. Soft balls he can carry around are his faves. (It was a joint cat/human gift. I'm easily amused...)
Our favorite family tradition is Catnukah. Each night of #Chanukah we light the candles, feed the cats a treat, and then give them a present. And the cats LOVE it.
This year on the first night Auggie meowed happily as soon as I started setting up the menorah. He remembered!
All of them gather to watch us light. But of course the treats and toys are their highlight.
Me all week: It's kind of chilly despite the fact it's getting warmer outside.
Me finally looking at the thermostat: Oh, you're dead.
Once we replace the batteries, the golden age of cat cuddles shall end. At least I'll be warm again.
Story time: Shady the cat screamed all morning after breakfast for seemingly no reason.
He does scream into the void occasionally, but not usually for this long.
After trying to reason with him, my wife and I discussed it. She said that he'd been batting at her (which he usually only does at meal time). He also tried to steal Eva the cat's food after finishing his own breakfast. He doesn't even like her food. (Yes our cats eat different food based on their preferences...)
I realized he may be more hungry than usual. We gave all the cats kitty gogurts. After which everyone did their post-snack grooming sesh and Shady seemed contented.
A little later Shady snuggled on my lap for a while. He's not usually a lap cat.
Hopefully he doesn't make a habit of screaming for treats, but any creature can have an extra hungry day.
He doesn't usually beg for treats. Though he does take his role as the head of the cat committee for prompt and early meals very seriously.
