Service post for _German citizens living abroad_.
*February 23rd is the election for the new Bundestag*
If you want to vote in this election, there are a few steps you have to make very shortly. Please consult this page: http://auswaertiges-amt.de/de/service/2693378-2693378
There is a form to fill out on paper (so make sure you have a working printer with a working cartridge available). There are different forms for people who have lived abroad under 25 years and over 25 years.
Please consult also the "Wahlamt" of the German municipality where you have been registered before you moved to a different country, they can tell you if you can scan the form and send it by e-mail or whether you have to send it electronically.
(Be prepared that they might speak very loudly and over-pronouncing words, because they get weird with foreigners. That is now you.)
Once you have been registered, you will get more information on when the forms will be sent and how they can be sent back to Germany. As far as I have understood the cut-off for absentee votes is february 20th.
*I am not an official source of electoral information.* But please feel free to correct me, give any tips in the replies. And share, if you have German citizens living abroad in your timeline.
I say: Low cost low code pretty website with articles, but without an online CMS
