It's Liberal Software, not Free Software
Working on an ios app using OpenCV. Building the right framework from OpenCV was so time-consuming, and I couldn't find a Swift Package for it. So I made one. https://github.com/r0ml/OpenCV
It contains iOS, macOS, macCatalyst, and iOS simulator.

When I set out to make QuadCropper app, I found that the only sample code for making Photos Extensions was from iOS 8. Meaning also -- no examples of using SwiftUI to make a Photos Extensions. So I made an example Photos Extension using SwiftUI. Here: https://github.com/r0ml/SwiftUIMustaches

I’ve published my newest book report: https://ockham.online/the-muse-learns-to-write-a2d90de8b4e1

This book is about the first (and second) information storage and retrieval technologies in human history, and the transition from one to the other.

TL;DR: Open source aspires to be pragmatic. Free Software aspires to be dogmatic. https://www.technologyreview.com/2023/08/17/1077498/future-open-source/?truid=e64653c7d72d11a7ab80ad5944456f2f
The future of open source is still very much in flux

Free and open software have transformed the tech industry. But we still have a lot to work out to make them healthy, equitable enterprises.
