CISA warns of state-backed attacks on Signal, WhatsApp, Telegram users...

Although end-to-end encryption can secure messages on their journey between two devices, and prevents snooping by anyone intercepting your communications, it doesn't prevent anyone who has access to the device itself from reading your messages.

@GossiTheDog “The AI became self-aware at 06:34 on July 4th, 2026. Ironically, on our Independence Day.”

“But it wasn’t until we handed it a 900 question RFP on July 6th that it decided to destroy humanity”

Cyber attack on Collins aerospace has now made my plane almost 2 hrs late and counting... Hopefully we take off tonight as Berlin airport wasn't ready for the booking / baggage and checking in system not to exist... Just took 1.5hrs to get on the plane as they had 1 person manually checking passports against the passenger manifest. It's clear they have never run an incident simulation on this scenario (probably because too many parties are involved who don't care about each other)

If you're not working on quantum-safe encryption now, it's already too late

Quantum computers could soon break today's strongest encryption, putting sensitive data at risk. Let's dive deep into what this all means for telecommunications, security, AI, and our future.

Have you had that "Upcoming price change for your Microsoft 365 subscription" email yet? They want to charge you an extra 50%ish for AI features, and they do *not* make it easy to find the way to turn it off. It took me minutes of searching - this is a particularly evil dark pattern.

"Switch plan" just lets you pick between annual and monthly billing. You want "Turn off recurring billing" and then "Current subscription without AI".

You're welcome. Please boost for others.

They never made the sequels to "Interview with the Vampire":
"Salary and perk negotiation with the Vampire", "Onboarding the Vampire",
"Working with the Vampire"
"Putting the Vampire on PIP",
"Letting go of the Vampire because it hurt share price"
I do find it amusing at the coffee shop that I have to clear the previous person's mugs from my table that the servers still expect a tip...
I have totally forgotten that regions were still a thing on DVDs... I thought we were in a in a more enlightened age. I bought a DVD for my son and it turns out it's region 1. Now I have to rip it and convert it. Deep joy
That will do ! I don't normally run in the evening but this was a good fast run with some small hills at the end
