Much as I admire the great work the moderators of mastodon.social are doing (and have donated to support them), I think I should put this federated system to the test and migrate to another server to help spread the load a bit!

So I'm going to try shifting to mastodon.me.uk, and in theory my followers should follow me there automatically. My posts, however, won't, which is why it's better to do it earlier than later, I guess!

Let's see how it goes...

Well, that went well...

@robflop @mcnees Nice! Reminds me a bit of a blog post from a long time ago, when QR codes were new and exciting:

I'm a fan of Eneloop rechargeable batteries. Nine years ago, I wrote a blog post recommending them. The batteries I had then are still in use - I know, because I wrote '2013' on them at the time. Not sure I can give a better recommendation!

It seems incredible to me now that, for most of the rest of the year, I have my porridge WITHOUT brandy cream, and deem it perfectly acceptable!

Thanks to AI, it’s probably time to take your photos off the Internet

AI tech makes it trivial to generate harmful fake photos from a few social media pictures.
